Ingvar, excellent topic, format and presentation.
I checked this out after I tried your mating pattern videos as they were awesome.
Great job!

Excellent Video!!
trinisolo
i enjoy that demo
Daerdor
Very instructive video, many thanks! Beside the breakthrough patterns I especially liked your info on the continuations i.e. how to finish the game after breaking through.

OK guys, can we be more open? Like, the guy has probably done the video in his second language. How good would YOU be in a second language. I don't want chess.com to limit speakers to english-born chessplayers... Especially that it is not as if chess was dominated english players!
It is great that he knows more than one language! Good for him!

The material was excellent. Zibbit, I know this material's probably pretty rote cause you've taught this probably 1000 times, but could ya maybe be a little more excited about it? If the teacher's not into the material, then it's hard to get the student into the material.

Great teaching tool for the endgame with pawn breakthru i lose a lot of game i should win because of my poor endgame play however i won two games in the last week by the en passe rule to queen so thats great thanks

Cool video. I really suck at endgames and am working on them at the moment and this kind of thing really helps.

Great video and great pace of presentation - ideal for me, not too fast !!
What was the name of the 4v4 pawn formation? I couldn't quite catch it, thanks.

That was great.

Good video. Endgame study should be at the core of the learning program of every chessplayers. Most players focus way to much on opening,in my mind. With sound thinking and good principles, one can manage the opening. Without good technique, a player is doomed in the endgames. It is also easier to explain endgame to novice players than openings, not because they are easy, but the end result is more obvious (even if the solution is complex). And as a player's rating increases, he'll have to win more and more in the endgame. Without good technique, many winning positions may be either a draw or simply lost.

Great vid... I've been looking for something like this. Would love to see a follow-up video about critical pawn moves in the middle game.
