Why White went e5 (Game 1) before placing rooks on d and e files? What did White was trying to hurry about, maybe he wanted to control light squares on the a8-h1 diagonal before Black takes it with ...Bb7? or was there another reason to go e5 at that moment?

not bad, too true to say that I have been caught aggressive players; need to get better to take advantage of their arrogance.

Thanks for a great lecture. I've always wondered why some very good players play against the usual recommendations. Now I understand it is not such a great idea, after all.

Hello Lankasterss,

He is saying "Rybka program" referring to the Rybka chess program and comparing it to other chess programs.

Wonderful! Thank you Roman!

GM Dzindzichashvili gives some very important advice about the principles of chess vs. the desire for creative play. He shows two model games to emphasize his points, focusing on principles of development and consistent planning in the opening.
