This is a great insight to skill and home preparation!
In my opinion this entire series of DVD's on the Gruenfeld Defense by Grandmaster Dzindzichashvili belongs in the Chess Hall of Fame. It is a true touchstone of chess information!
Very informative. Could you provide more info about Fischer-Shewin game?
Brilliant video. Can you give information or a source for the Fischer- Sherwin game?
a true grandmaster!!!
Hm, I don't think my previous comments posted. Great games, especially liked the first one in which I didn't understand the power of the attack at all at first! Turned out to be quite amazing, I like the way he just smothered his opponent and it quickly became clearly completely winning. Great video Dzindi.
Thank you Champ.
GM Dzindzichashvili, Can you provide more information about the Fischer v. Sherwin game that you reference in this video? I would like to find it. Thank you.
GM Roman Dzindzichashvili it was very interesting to know about Grünfeld. i am quiet impressed by this theory. i hope you give more lessons of this theory to completely understand that. Thanks
by GM Roman Dzindzichashvili
GM Dzindzi's continuation of his series on the Grunfeld spotlights two of his favorite games. In a rarity, he shows of one of his own, as well as a Kasparov classic that he calls "the most powerful game ever." Both examples emanate from Qb3 systems, and Black eventually gets ...b5 in with tempo. The grandmaster also points out how sharp openings can be won by preparation. Watch and be satisfied with some home cookin'!

GM Roman Dzindzichashvili
GM Dzindzichashvili was once one of the top players in the world. Born in Georgia, his chess first developed in the USSR. While still an International Master, he defeated opponents like Botvinnik and Bronstein before emigrating, first to Israel where he became a Grandmaster, and then to the United States. His accomplishments in the U.S. include two U.S. Championship first places, and one World Open. He has not played actively in tournaments recently, but has become even more famous perhaps in the U.S. for quality instructional materials, in particular chess videos! Roman Dzindzichashvili now teaches chess classes and seminars for Chess.com University. Feel free to contact him for more information!
