when did Yaacov Norowitz became an speed GM, it was my understanding that he was not FIDE rated, I do know that he has held rating of above 3000 blitz at the the ICC, I also think he holds USCF ratings  above 2300 in long games and blitz, he is also known to have given chess lectures around the NY NJ erea  -
