How about "auto-resign"? You get to place your vote on resign each time, but if you wish, you could change.

Don't like that suggestion of making the resign vote permanent. There may be a drastic change of fortune in a given game. And no-lifers would be hitting resign just for kicks.
JoseDK
Just 5 hrs. until this game is put out of everyone's misery. It was suggested that "resign" vote be made permanent, ie. if a person votes resign on move 42, he automatically votes resign every subsequent vote. I voted resign several moves ago (at least by move 42) but missed move 43 (finals week), where "resign" barely missed the 60% threshold. If a player thinks a game is lost its improbable his mind will change. /rant

Are new players white or black?
Oonland
Yay! RESIGN won.
kuronama
well thanks, i guess it isn't too difficult to get a 60%, no, a 72% consensus with fewer players in the game.
have a nice day everyone!

May be the end of our suffering is for this move!

Andrew, just ignore Kuronama. He's like a bitter old man in every match he's in. Don't talk to him, and moreover, don't prove him wrong. It just angers him furthermore. Good game, Andrew.

Honestly, how much concentration does this game require right now? That's why I kept talking. It was more cognitively challenging that trying to find the fastest mate. Anyway, sorry to have offended you. I thought it was just a civil discussion.
@andrewlong: you would do much better to concentrate on the game being played and not to make advances toward the team members. especially when those advances are not appreciated nor solicited.
in other words: present a move or stategy, or shut the hello up.
Sure, its easier for 1 person to convince 3 people than 300, but you're assuming that the 1 person is the only one doing the convincing. Its just as easy for 1 person to convince 3 others to resign as it is for 1 person to convince 3 others to play on (except for the details of the argument, but that has nothing to do with the number of people on the team).
Its the same in vote chess on teams that have a lot of drive by voters (large groups like Power of Chess usually). When you're in a game with a large team, sometimes its hard to get the team to resign (or vote for a particular move or do anything as a team). When you're on a small team its the same thing. As long as there are people who aren't paying attention to the discussion, which in site-wide games seems to be the majority, there is no convincing going on anyway.

Amen to that! I like it!!
