2022 Fall Reading Week Announcements
Hello everyone!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve hosted our Fall Blitz Tournament, IM Shawn's simultaneous exhibition, and even got a surprise visit from IM Eric Rosen, GM Daniel Naroditsky, and WGM Nemo Zhou. In this announcement, we have several exciting things to share with the HHCC community to end off the year!
Rapid Championship & Raffle:
Join us this Saturday (November 12th) for the HHCC Rapid Championship and raffle fundraiser. With over 1000$ in prizes (based on 70 entries) and 2 sections to play in, this CFC Quick Rated tournament offers a fun and competitive way to play chess.
Everyone is welcome to join and play, with both online and onsite registration available.
Raffle prizes are as follows:
1. Hart House Chess Club t-shirt (x2)
2. Signed HHCC GM Hikaru Nakamura t-shirt (x2)
3. Signed chess board by GM Garry Kasparov (x2)
4. Entry into one of the Holidays Open or Reading Week Open (x2)

The Canadian University Team Battle:
Today, the Canadian University Team Blitz Battle will take place online at 7 pm EST. Players of all levels of aptitude are encouraged to play to make it an enjoyable experience for all. The tournament will be hosted on this link. You can join the HHCC team here.
Holidays Open Early Bird Registration:
The annual, flagship, Hart House Holidays Open event is back from December 9th - 11th. See our website for all the info + registration! Early-bird registration is open until Nov 16th.
