2025 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship

I signed up for the 2025 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship and I encourage my students to do the same! It's a 1 day no vacation daily tournament, so should end faster than your ongoing daily games. Last year over 60,000 players from around the world competed in the tournament. You'll be placed in a section of 12 players and you'll play double round robin, meaning 22 games consecutively. The time out rate in the first round is very high, with around half the players timing out, so it's more like 10 games. If you rely on the opening explorer which is allowed, you should win another 6 games easily, leaving just 4 competitive games. If you win the first round and move onto the second round, I'll give you $25. If you win the second round and get into the third round, I'll give you $50. If you win the third round, you're cheating by using engine and you'll get banned by chess.com, so remember no engine allowed!
