Multi-Team Players in the WCL Leagues (Clarification):

In relation to the WCL 2020 Season, the tournament director has advised me (04 Feb 2020) to remove a player from our Round 4 match vs. Yekaterinburg (Russia) - the reason is that the player in question happens to be what is described as a 'Multi-Team Player' and also happens to be a member of both the Glasgow and Kharkov Teams in our division. He is also said to have played for another two teams in the 2020 WCL Leagues and this is not permitted. I have now removed the player in question and thus, the internal situation regarding the Drogheda Online Chess Club is...

Upon the presumption of a mere misunderstanding, it is most likely the case that our player involved in the Multi-Team issue had simply joined many clubs over time and played matches connected therewith as he pleased - under most circumstances, this is perfectly fine. The WCL Leagues however involve a third party administrative system for which there are additional rules - one such rule concerns any player actively playing for more than one team in the WCL Leagues in a given season - this rule is frequently enforced and in most cases of contravention, most likely accidental.  The player may remain as part of the Drogheda Team (for other matches administered directly under Chess.com), but may not play in the WCL Leagues due to the multiples teams that he is a member of, but teams that are also involved in the WCL Leagues.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but I must adhere to the WCL League rules.
