Reducing Waste

Hi wonderful people, this week is the week for my special news item edition as it is nearly the end of the month. The theme is waste, likewise with the matches. The denotation of waste is an unwanted or unusable or unwanted material, substance or by-product. Waste is also a very big problem in our world due to the worldwide pollution it causes. There are ways to solve the waste problem though, and here they are...

The most obvious option is to cut down on the amount of stuff that gets thrown out. This can be done by people buying less items and food so there is a smaller margin for waste. Also, items that no longer have a use can be demolished and built up into something else that can be used-recycling! The problem with this method is that places like restaurants have to buy too much to satisfy their guests and if the food is substandard, it becomes waste. Also recycling is an expensive process.

Using less packaging is also an idea. This accounts for a third of the world's rubbish, so naturally we must use less of it or re-use it. This would mean people opening packages without breaking the protective layer so it can be re-used. This will be an inconvenient thing to do but it may make a big step towards saving the world.

Finally, all waste should be broken into raw materials. This would enable all waste to be remade into new items: advanced recycling. It is also nonetheless expensive and will take a lot of time and effort.
