The 2025 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship 2nd Round for me is winding down to my final four games!
On December 31st 2024 was the final day you could enter the 2025 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship. The tournament runs all year. The next one for 2026 will be announced in December. I highly recomend it! Each group has 12 opponents and 22 simultaneous 24 hour dailys with the opponents you match up for said group. Only 1 player advances from each group. 24,760 players participated for this years tournament. 22,781 players were eliminated in the first round.
I have been recording my journey in the tournament on youtube with 1 min shorts with commentary and written blog in the chat of each video short describing what happened in each game. It has been intense but extremely rewarding and fun. In the first round I took first in my group with a 19W - 2L -1D performance. I was the 3rd highest seed in the group.
I am finishing up now in Round 2 with 4 games to play. I am not going to be advancing but this was an absolute blast to be a part of! Currently 8W -7L -3D with 4 games to play. I was the 11th seed out of 12 in this one and it was daunting, but dailys seem to be the closest to Classical Chess and I feel really good about how I have played so far. With 4 games to go, I have winning position in 2 games, 1 draw and 1 loss I believe. We will have to wait and see.
If all of you would please subscribe to my youtube, like and share and comment on the games, it could put me over 500 subs. Which I would really appreciate. I am going to try and submit my journey of games on my youtube channel for one of the prizes for the second round. Subbing to youtube is free and I would Greatly appreciate it, if you would take the time to subscirbe to my channel!!! Thank You All for considering and I appreciate you for joining and playing in the arena's and the events that I run!
