Weekend Chess

Good morning US Chess!

Before I get started on our lite competition schedule for this weekend, I want to talk about our club settings.  Some of our members complain to me about receiving these notifications. You want to know how to block them. Sometimes your requests are polite. I am always happy to answer any questions that I can, so please feel free to ask. However, if you ask me a question and then block my response, I do get irritated. Also, chess and club questions only for messages.

Some of you don't want to receive these notifications. That's cool, but I cannot help you with that. Only you can do that. Here's how: Social -> Clubs -> US Chess Club -> Settings. This page displays six slider button questions and a red smash button at the bottom to leave the club. The questions all concern notifications and news, like this one and when I make reminders in the hour before each scheduled match.

We have only one match on tap this weekend. It is an LCWL U1600 Blitz match versus Team of the Czech Republic on Saturday April 29 at 11:33 am Pacific/2:33 pm Eastern. This is a chance for those of us who want to match up against international players but most often do not get a board.
