
Weekend Chess
Happy Friday US Chess. We will begin our competitions Saturday at 11:01 am Pacific/2:01 pm Eastern with a LCWL Chess960 Rapid match versus Team Nicaragua. For those unfamiliar with Chess960, it begins with a shuffled piece arrangement that is intended to preclude the opening book. Later on, Saturday, we have a LCPAL Bullet match versus Team Brazil Live beginning at 5:01 pm Pacific/8:01 pm Eastern. Then on, Sunday, beginning at 12:31 pm Pacific/3:31 pm Eastern we have another LCWL Chess960 Rapid match versus Team Nigeria. Later on, Sunday, we have an LCWL U1600 Blitz match against Mexico Live Chess. Finally, on Sunday, our LCWL trifecta matches versus Mexico Live Chess begin with the Bullet match at 3:10 pm Pacific/6:10 pm Eastern. Immediately following will be the Blitz match followed immediately by the Rapid match. Whew ... Here are the links:

It will be a busy weekend; I hope to see many of you there. These matches showcase US Chess talent, and we need as many as possible to show up ready to play. These matches are always versus talented international opponents who also show up to showcase their talent. Our top boards are titled players, so even if you do not get a board, you can watch some of the best chess players in the world do their magic on the 64 squares.
