Marshall Burns Burn

Frank Marshall was one of the top ten players in the world during the early 20th century.  Amos Burn was one of the top ten players in the world at the end of the 19th century.  Both players met at a grandmaster tournament in Ostend, Belgium 100 years ago, with a very quick victory for Marshall in one of their games.  They played each other four times in this event with Marshall winning 2 games, drawing one, and losing one.  The event was won by Siegbert Tarrasch.  Marshall tied for 3rd-4th and Burn took 5th place.  Burn was 59 and Marshall was 30 years old.  Marshall played some nice combinations to force checkmate.
