If you aren’t familiar with silent disco, our ticket partner FEVER has some awesome events you should look into. You should do that anyway.

In a shocking left hand turn from the status quo, we’d like this event to be fun. Yes! You are welcome to react to voice your excitement, but please do be respectful towards the players and the other guests. This is going to be an incredible experience, we want everyone to have fun and feel comfortable. If one of our ushers or hosts asks you to settle down, please do.

If you shout moves, strategies, or signal at the players during a game, you’ll be escorted out of the arena with a voided ticket before you can say “Hyperaccelerated Dragon”.
When can I enter and exit the arena? expand

You are welcome to exit/enter the Arena during scheduled breaks, but entry to the Arena will be prohibited during games. Doors to the arena will open about 60 minutes before games each day.

Am I allowed to add other people attending this event as Chess.com friends to play games against them after the Speed Chess Championship is over, signaling the first step in an unshakable and beautiful friendship? expand

You’re more than welcome to create life-long friendships with your fellow event-goers, but we do ask that, if you do, you let us know on social media so we can hype you up, celebrate the incredible ability for humans to connect in a world of such uncertainty and darkness, and probably also give you a few months of Diamond. If you become the lawful Godparent of a person you meet at a chess event, please fill out our online Godparent intake form for proper registration into our system.
