The Film and TV Buffs vs London Knights

Yesterday sadly marked the passing of Dame Vera Lynn, a true national treasure and we believe a match should be played in memoriam. Although passing her later years in Sussex, she was born and bed in London - born in East Ham, but living a long time in Finchley, though of course her career started in clubs, halls and on stages all over London and with the BBC; during the Blitz she would drive her Austin car and go and sing to and with those sheltering in underground stations and she put herself in danger by singing on the front lines in Burma to entertain our hard-pressed troops. A true Londoner and Brit and we hope you will join with us in remembering her this way
