Hello, my full name is Alex Arda Akyuz. I am from Istanbul, Turkey.

I absolutely love computers and technology. Chess is a daily activity for me, I love playing the beautiful game and learning more, and more each time. I started playing about 15 years ago, and have been hooked ever since. I taught myself how to play at a late age around my mid twenties by reading chess books. I wish someone would have taught me when I was much younger because I truly love the beautiful game.

I love also, AI and machine learning in general. More specifically, I have played with the stockfish engine and it is absolutely incredible! I just started learning about Deep Mind's Alpha Zero Chess Engine and it's awesome to me! I was at one point, building my own database using Chess Genius and saving PGNs to make a master database. I was going to build my own chess engine in playing myself. I find computer technology absolutely spectacular and would love the opportunity to one day, learn how to build my algorithm in AI for chess engines. I hope to make some friends on chess.com and love the platform. 😀

My favorite player of all time is, Jose Raul Capablanca! The Machine!!! I love watching his past games and try to learn from him.
