I'm the advisor of a college chess club of 100+ members, and taught chess to elementary school kids. I'm not very good at chess, but love the game and want to be better. I started a chess club at my College, GRCC - feel free to join our club: Grand Rapids Community College.

My goal is to reach 1400 in both rapid and daily.

Outside of chess, I am a library director and professional singer of classical music.

I used to play chess twice a day with the students, but now I don't play as much and need significant improvement. I am known to be inconsistent and somewhat aggressive in my play. I watch chess videos but need formal training and don't know where to begin.

I'd love your help in making me a better chess player.
