I haven’t been on recently, am very busy with schoolwork (double majoring in Applied Math and Physics, also planning on finishing bachelor’s + master’s in physics in four years).

Haven’t played chess much this summer (took Real Analysis 1 this summer, very time-intensive), and my tactics, etc., has fallen off sharply. Getting back at it, but courseload is also very tough. Training on lichess.org. Aimchess, chessable, etc.. Need to get back at it (am doing that, but still quite a way to go!).

And still playing piano. As of the time this was updated: working on Chopin’s Barcarolle in F# Major, Op. 60, Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz #1. Future plans: Chopin’s Etude #2 (Op. 10 No. 2), Etude #18 (Op. 25, No. 6), Liszt Transcendental Etudes #4, #5 (Mazeppa and Feux Follets), and (if time permits it), Chopin Scherzo in c# minor, Op. 39, although going to start with the two Chopin etudes (then Mazeppa, and finally Feux Follets).

And: no more bullet games for now, especially considering I need to re-train my tactic skills. Hopefully I can become an Over-The-Board Candidate Master sometime in the future, but again, life comes first (college academics, cooking, piano, etc.).

I am white (this is my second lichess account) Absolutely destroyed this guy (I think he is theox07 on chess.com, a FM) and although I missed twice the opportunity to checkmate him, the final combo of a mate in 7 with 3 brilliant sacrifices is just STUNNING. Also, I basically ran out of time at the end, but the mate is just amazing! Yes, this is how I go at times.
