Member of the site since 2018 at the age 15! Now 23. And 2200 on chess.com in the rapid pool! (For now anyway.) I've achieved the rating of 1700 otb and am working on improving both in online and tournament play!

At age 15 I started playing my cousin in chess in-between speech and debate tournaments though I mostly played online. That was until 2023 where I had my first year where I was taking chess super seriously. I played over 100 OTB games getting a uscf peak rating of 1789. This is after I had finally breached the 2000 mark in rapid an incredible achievement for me at the time. I would go on to volunteer at my grandma’s high school for their chess team. Coaching the high school students there and teaching them the nasty opening preparation that I know! I’ve also coached a few rivals I’ve had in person OTB. As well as online coaching!

The Chess Foundation is where I have played most of my tournament games and I have got 1st or tied for first quite a few times! Most of my OTB games were in the time control 25/5 second delay though I have played a few tournaments with a pure classical time control.

I have held steady a 2000-2100 rating for awhile in rapid and recently was able to cross the 2200 mark. My coaching isn’t for titled players, but I will take on students from absolute beginner to advanced intermediate!
