I'm a really big fan of the 8th World Chess Champion, Mikhail Tal - the magician from Riga. 

Tal is also the first place record holder for the most consecutive tournament games without a loss - 95!

(46 wins, 49 draws from October 1973-October 1974).

Who's in 2nd place?  Mikhail Tal with  86 ! (47 wins, 39 draws from  July 1972-April 1973)!
