Hi all!

My name is Brian Gu, and I have been a national master since I was 11 years old. I have competed in a variety of tournaments ranging from local - regional - national and even world youth.

After taking a hiatus from competing, I have 3+ years of coaching experience while balancing my master’s degree in accounting, which I will finish in the spring of 2026. Now, I play chess recreationally, enjoying bullet and blitz time frames.
