Today I will post one game of beating a higher rated player.
There are more games where these came from.
Black made some really bad moves: the Queen on g8 and the long castle into your open lines. Also Knc3 was a terrible waste of time, so was Qb4 and the following Queen moves. Did you hypnotize him ?
Yeap, still it shows that you can't just be overconfident. Like, this 1900 was just fooling around while I thought for an hour, then I slowly took advantage of his position. I'm proud of that one.
Nc3 was Terrible,No reason for him to play that move.
hehe, yeah. I have proved it's not about the opening, but the tactics.
Quite nice. I like your style- it seems like every game I see of yours there is some sort of gambit.
Haha, right Have you ever heard about the "one eye's blindness" ?..
I don't know why, sometimes it is so difficult to see something so obvious. I mean, even in real life.
Nice moves. But, what if 23...Rc7 ? Then you would need some time to finish this. (Am I missing something?)
haha, thanks for the compliment. I usually don't post in my blog anymore, I post in the forums, so it gets more comments.
Wow what a beating.
nice game.bt black made too many useless moves ,thus making him to loose tempo
Well, it's a different opening. Although there is the similarity that white often tries to attack, there are many differences in how he goes about it. In this gambit white is trying to build an outright positional advantage with his pawn center, whereas in the open sicilian black knows he has a lot of defensive and counterattacking resources against white's play.
To me, it looks tricky to face; black has to find a plan. Maybe he should focus on pressuring d4? I'm not sure, but it seems like passive play in this line for black allows white to really build his game and prepare a powerful attack. Thankfully I can avoid having to find a plan as I don't play the sicilian!
As much as I think the wing gambit is meh (cause white can always get a nice attack in the Open Sicilian, no need to sac a pawn) ---he clearly didn't know what to do here....
Nice attack you had there!!
