Last Wehrmacht Report - 9 May 1945

Today, we broadcast the last Wehrmacht report of this war.
From the headquarter of the Grand Admiral, 9th May 1945.
The high Command of the Wehrmacht reports:
"In East Prussia, German divisions yesterday defeated the Vistula estuary and the western part of the Frische Nehrung bravely until the end, whereby the 7th Infantry Division especially distinguished themselves.
The supreme commander, General of the Armed Corps von Saucken, was awarded the Diamonds for the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak leaves and Swords in recognition of the exemplary attitude of his soldiers.
As a forward bulwark, Our Armies in Courland, led by the proven command of Colonel General Hilper, were able to bind for months superior Soviet infantry and tank formations and earned in 6 great battles everlasting honor.
They rejected every offer for capitulation.
Far away from home, the defenders of the Atlantic Bases, our troops in Norway and the forces on the Aegean Islands maintained the honor of the German Soldier in duty and discipline.
Since midnight,the weapons on all fronts fell silent."
By Orders of the Grand Admiral, the Wehrmacht stopped the hopeless fight.
With that, the almost six year long heroic struggle is over.
It has brought us great victories, but also heavy defeats.
In the end, The German Wehrmacht lost honorable to a massive military superiority.
We brought the last Wehrmacht report of this war.
