The Spanish Exchange

In attempt to improve my chess I have decided to analyze my games and post them.

In this game as white, I play the Spanish exchange variation. My opponent plays an old variation that is a favorite of GM Mark Hebden and interesting play ensues. The question of favorable imbalances is in question. White gives black doubled pawns, an endgame weakness. Black in return has the bishop pair.

In the game, I make a tactical error that loses a pawn. Black misses this and blunders a piece soon after. He fights on bravely but it is difficult to play a piece down and later resigns.

Thank you to my opponent for the game. Feel free to comment.
