Chicago Blaze - The Inside Story of Chicago's First Professional Chess Team
Hi Chess Friends,
Last month, years of hard work came to fruition, as Daniel Parmet and I published a book Chicago Blaze. It's the complete history of a US Chess League team with all of the ups and downs you would expect from a group of chess professionals and outsize personalities. Daniel, who was team manager tells the story of the team, and I, as one of the team-members provide much of the game analysis. We were proud to have many great players help as well, with analysis from former US Champion Yury Shulman, and other incredibly strong players. All proceeds go to the family of Blaze team owner Sevan Muridian, who died tragically young last year.
We are now selling the book online here: http://pricingpawns.com/chicagoblaze/.
Chicago Blaze should interesting from both a historical standpoint and purely as chess content. We have a lot of new analysis of games by the late well known player, Emory Tate. Here's some analysis on the game Tate - Rensch (Yes chess.com, that Danny Rensch!).
