I decided I'm making it a festival tour.

I will start off by flying to Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, Romania, and going to this huge Festival and camping there.

I will spend a couple days in Amsterdam and then meet up with my family and go on the 8-day Avalon premier boat cruise which ends up in Basel, Switzerland.

Then we're going to Lucerne to do some really cool tour, and then the family and I are all flying back. I will be spending about 28 days away from my place.

Aloha Chess Friends and Family, 

I wanted to announce to all of you that General Poppins here will be going on a family vacation to Europe. This will my father, step mother (who's funding most of it💞), and my siblings and their spouse's.

This will occur at the end of July and we will be jumping onto a riverboat premium Cruise in Amsterdam and cruising down the Rhine River traveling through four countries. The Riverboat trip will last one week, but I'm planning on getting a Euro Rail Pass so that I can visit other countries.

My only real time constriction are my three cats, so I don't have too many other things that constrain me from spending some quality time in Europe, and although I dearly love my jungle cats, I will be away from them for a while and leave them in good hands.

My vision is to arrive a number of days before the boat leaves (3-5) as it will be a very long plane trip, and I am in coach, so some recovery from the flight would be nice while hanging out in Amsterdam. I do not have a set flight schedule just yet, nor do I have a plan on which countries I want to visit...so help me out here🙏

But I am open to suggestions /ideas /comments/and or invitations to visit some of my Chess.com friends who live in various parts of Europe. My thought is that I will spend at least two and a half weeks, but no more than a month for the entire trip. 

I'm also putting this out there to let you know that I won't be nearly as active during that time on chess.com and that means I'll need others to step up and make sure that the club continues to run smoothly. I won't be stepping away totally, but most likely will put my games on vacation, and check in a couple times a day.

I wouldn't mind playing a little chess while I'm there, but I'd also like to see a little bit of the sights as well. And as a jungle guy, they don't have to be City or man-made sites either...but certainly can be. 

And lastly, even though it says I am a top gifter, that doesn't mean I have very much money, it just means that when I do have money, I'm very generous with it to the point where I don't have it anymore.🤷🏽‍♂️😒

So my flight and train pass and Riverboat Cruise are all paid for, but I will be on a limited budget to be sure. So I'm thinking hostels, couches, and possibly even bringing a hammock and tarp in order to keep my costs down to a minimum.
