Why did the Pawn cross the Road?

The "age old" question..... Why? .....   

Possible answers?;

They were all out of chickens!

It was the chickens day off!

To prove he's no chicken!

It wasn't intentional, the road misunderstood him!

That's where the pawn shop is!

The Queen was busy!

It' just something he does "in passing".
