Yet even more evidence on why blitz is terrible for learning

So I play a game with someone that is rated 1900 on blitz.  First off, I checked some of his games and found that he often plays people of lower rating.  Second, he favors gambit lines and is very good at coming up with moves to win on the spot with them.  However, I cracked this gambit line of his on my analysis, though I lost the game.  Which goes to show, I made an impulsive move without thinking and it cost me the game because I almost always think too fast, but this is blitz.  In a nutshell, I find it hard to believe that someone will stoop down to this level to gain rating points, and here is the evidence, blitz, is not good for your chess, because it forces you to come with stupid ways to increase your rating.  For some at least wink.png
