Super Saturday is the brand new format of matches held twice per season, where teams from different divisions contest against each other in a sixteen team free for all. Delhi Dynamite locked horns against Pacific Division, which consisted of a strong lineup. Yesterday, GM Salem Saleh, GM Lalith Babu, IM Tania Sachdev and IM Hemant Sharma geared up for the Super Saturday showdown. Despite an uninspiring campaign, in the beginning, team Dynamite stepped on the accelerator to squash other teams. Result? A hard-fought draw.

Front-runner and Delhi Dynamite's star player GM Salem Saleh was pitted against the Pacific's very best.

He gave a tough fight to Seattle SluggersGM Hikaru Nakamura and Saint Louis Arch Bishop's GM Fabiano Caruana on board one. But slipped in a game against talented American Junior GM Jeffery Xiong of Dallas Destiny.

Later in the chat room, GM Saleh commented that he intended to play Rc6 here.

This innocuous slip didn't stop him from beating GM Yu Yangyi of Chengdu Pandas in the next round.

We are halfway past in the 2nd edition of PRO Chess League. The gruelling eight-round Super Saturday did take a toll on the players. The team persisted throughout the match night and admirably handled the pressure. Next week, Delhi Dynamite is going facing World Champion Magnus Carlsen led Norway Gnomes. Exciting games ahead!
