My First Blindfold Chess Victory!

Hey, everyone!

I may be overdue on this... and that's OK with me! At 1750 USCF, I'm horrible at blindfold chess. I can stay in the game with beginners for about 15-20 moves, though I start to forget where everything is, blunder, and lose the game. I challenged my sister, Evangeline Guel (10 years old, rated 397 USCF) to a match where I was blindfold, and she was not. She needed practice games because she and her siblings are going to play in the 2020 Texas Scholastic Championships, and I needed the simple visualization and calculation practice, so it's a win-win!

Now was there some "sibling controversy" with this? Maybe... When I told my sister I would play "Nf3" at some point, she misplaced my Knight, and put it on g3, so when she put a Rook on d2 (thinking she was taking a Bishop for free), in my head, my Knight could take the Rook on d2. It was an accident, however, my ego took over, and I had to do everything I could to win my first blindfold game. Without further ado...

I hope you enjoyed this post and the game, even though it was very low quality. I would love to hear your experience with blindfold chess, are you good at it, are you bad at it? Let me know in the comments, and I will see you next time!
