miss airplane (or should we say alice?) about chesspieces

every writer who takes him/herself serious must play chess. name me one who doesn’t. so it is not that strange that chess comes to us. in poems, literature and yes, in popular music. give me some leggs with it  as well. but what is a doormouse? and what did he say? one more thing: if your knight is talking backwards.. resign : -)
