If you believe that the last few puzzles have been challenging, then try this one: It is a Mate in 1, but it is very difficult to find the solution!
There is only 1 checkmate!
Ever seen such a puzzle? What do you think of it?
If 1.Ng6+, then Bxg6 from b1
i have seen this before but still really cool
for me it was easy puzzle :D but good puzzle anyway
vry sry i can't...
Very easy, only took me about 45 attempts. And quite frequent thoughts of hitting the solution button.
@Driv4r: Such a position doesn´t exist in real games, it was created artifically or composed by famous chess puzzle composer "Leonid Kubbel" , the puzzle composers are looking for beautiful solutions for their puzzles, that´s why it is more artificial than a real game!
It was very difficult indeed, probably had to try more than 20 different options (and some more than once ) to get it solved but I did it in the end!
But question about this game, how come that they have so many strong pieces on board, especially white?? I mean it's possible if you get number of pawns promoted but seems unrealistic. Did they play just for fun or sth?
@Chessnut71: For a mate in one, I think it is quite difficult ;)
not to hard
no it was easy...just need to look at it carefully.
the craziest puzzle I have ever seen lol
Dont forget, you have to mate in 1 move.
@Liife: I had thought like you did too at first, but it is an invalid move! Note that White´s king is on h3, so he would get into a check himself :) Good luck with your next try
i saw pawn promotion to d8 as a solid checkmate. but i could be wrong, in fact its more than likely that im wrong. but very cool puzzle. kept me occupied for some time. :D thx!
That was not what i thought i thought it would of been kg6 too actually :\\
Don´t forget the bishop on b1 thnayeem, he can just take it if you play Knight g6 ;) You need another try :)
what about Knight g6?
