Hi everyone!

As usual, if you don't want to read the blog post, here is the link to the video: https://youtu.be/OJLXNuMT2JA

I wanted to share one of my most memorable games with you guys. I hold this game dear because it helped me break out of my really bad habit of overthinking a position. The tournament prior to the one that this game was played, I played against a Grandmaster(USCF was about 2550ish) and I had a winning position. There came a time in that I had two choices to continue the game. One was the safe route and I didn't have much going but neither did he. The second was a pawn sacrifice which gave me all of the play in the position. I ended up choosing the safer option and losing because of it.

I decided that in this tournament, I'm going to play what I felt was best. In this game, I show my best game yet! Sometimes having the initiative is better than material but having both is nice! I take you through my thought process and how I calculate when I'm in unfamiliar territory. My performance rating for this tournament was 2390!

Thank you for reading till the end!
