Has anyone here read the Yiddish Policemen's Union by Pulitzer winning author Micheal Chabon? It's a wonderfully noirish, smart detective novel; in which Chess plays an important, though not at all typical role. Specifically, the novel turns around the murder of a brilliant Chess player, and a certain Zugzwang puzzle of Vladimir Nabokov's.
