GFE ft Linguine with Cheesy White Wine Sauce
Hey guys! So for my dinner tonight I decided to make linguine with a cheesy white wine sauce. At first I was going to use a different recipe but I didn't have all the stuff...blah blah....I was very surprised that this sauce turned out well....
8 oz of linguine (or make the whole bag and just use half or double your sauce recipe)
1/2 cup of pasta water
1/2 cup of dry white wine (like Chardonnay)
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 to 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
2 tablespoons of butter
Chopped parsley for decoration
The How To:
Make your linguine and save 1/2 cup of pasta water (or more if you are doubling the sauce).
Simmer wine until it goes down half way. Add in pasta water, butter and kosher salt. Stir well.
If you made the whole pot but only want to use half of it...split it in half and put one portion back into the pan it was cooking in. Pour sauce over it and add in the cheese. Stir well and about bring it to boil. Serve with parsley and a hint of more cheese.
