Hello everyone. Here is a post to tell you some of the ways that I go about a Fischer Random game.


Look for a spot around the king, that isn't attacked by any pieces. In a normal chess game it is f7 or f2. Then align 2 long range pieces (rooks, bishops and queens) to attack the square. Use the 2 pieces to attack the square. It should be checkmate if there is no escape square. Another way to do it is a smothered mate (if the king is surrounded by 2 rooks or knights on the back rank). If none of these are possible, try to castle, develop fast or control the centre before attacking.
