ATTACK FROM THE TRENCHES

World War I was a scenery for a type of land warfare using small firearms in fighting lines and relatively protected from heavy artillery, known as "trenches", but its effectivity, was proven to be either a great line of defense or a nasty deadly trap.., soldiers trapped in these trenches without provisions or ammunicion, were often victims of a cruel end..

I thought of WWI trenches when I played this game, I had some enemy pawns in front of my queen and my knight, from there I could throw some grenades..., but I had to resist the temptation to capture those pawns since, they offered some protection to my own pieces..., try to uncover the attack from the trench..

Black made a big mistake taking his queen off the D6 square, allowing white the double attack..., here is how the game continued...
