SCU Chess Club held our 3rd annual High School Invitiational tournament on Fri 13-Nov-2015, with 30 players from four schools competing against two club members.

The 7 round Swiss-style event was won by club member Anthony Camilleri on 6½ points, with Wesley Lingard of Kadina High School becoming the 2015 High School Champion on 6 points. The day highlighted some strong play, friendly sportsmanship, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Wesley, Nic, and Jake received their medals from Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Andrew McAuley.

The club looks forward to working further with local schools in 2016, and also hopes to start online Team Matches against other Australian university chess clubs.
