Carolinas Classic Round 5
The final round, or as some people like to call it, the money round, hahaha. It really is an interesting time. Where we find out if the people in the lead can hold on or if someone who played the Swiss Gambit earlier in the weekend rises up to surpass them. As for me, I was 3-1 going into the last round. A chance to win some money (although that is never the top reason I play, but always a nice thing to get).
In the game, I tried to put positional considerations above material. There was a point where I could have maintained material equality, but my position would be very out of sorts to do it. Instead, I worked towards the better position, let the material go, and was in a spot later to win it back and then some (maybe that is what it's all about anyways, lol).
