Hello from Casablanca!

I haven't played on chess.com for quite some time. A few years ago I made the switch to Lichess, which has since kept me rather occupied.

All the same, I've missed the blog function and my old updates. Some of my old projects seem hugely futile. The old opening book project was...misguided to say the least. I think we all have to spend a year or two bumbling around, figuring out how the game and even the community work before we can really begin to learn.

My current project is to train tactics ladder-style on my YouTube channel, which you can find here. I think I've come up with some really great material there, but the lack of a mic has made me hold back from pushing the channel too much.

My next projects will be a full endgame YouTube series based on the skeleton of the position that I had previously featured on this blog. Then I'll move on to game analysis in the Catalan, Grünfeld, and Caro-Kann to develop my theory.

Does anyone have recommendations on Catalan and Caro-Kann players to follow? For the Grünfeld I'll be analyzing Peter Svidler and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, but for my other two main openings I don't have a particular player in mind.
