Finally! Tied the Goalie Bot!!! Sicilian Grand Prix
The New Years Magnus bot always made the same move sequences, so once memorizing around 30 moves, and twenty days of getting demolished, I tied 3 games and miraculously won a game.
Enter the new bots and the Goalie for the winter games. The Goalie threw me down, pummeled me, and unlike Magnus, there was no sequence of moves, it threw a myriad of different sequences at me, which was great for learning.

I mainly play on a cell phone, and use the analysis after each game to improve my moves. After a week of "fun" I played on my laptop, and saw there were different types of challenges, 1 crown for computer assisted, 3 for challenge. When I put it on assisted, the goalie got checkmated in the Vienna Gambit in 17 moves. After a few times, I *think* the bot wasn't playing as well as in challenge mode.
This morning, playing the Sicilian Grand Prix Attack, early the game the bot moved the queen back to back which was different. Continuing on, it felt like I was hanging with the bot. As the week had progressed, I had survived some games up to 40 moves. This morning, I continued, after ninety one moves trying to get a draw, the game ended in stalemate I forced to get the tie.
Later in the game, I saw it had changed to a Sicilian Taiminov(?) variation, which I've never seen. This bot is insane! The initial analysis gave me a 2850 rating for the game, both at a 94% accuracy. As I am learning with the analysis tool, immediate game reviews use a lighter engine, and moves I thought were an error, were actually best, and vice versa in a deeper analysis mode. I highly doubt I played that high.
