Introduction to Contender Death Match Series
I am happy to announce a new Contender Series which I have started.
Why have I started this you may ask?
Well during my chess journey, I have had online friends and people challenge me to a Series of chess games for fun.
My opponents enjoy playing chess and felt like having some fun playing against me. I played these game for fun and just to hang out with some online friends. If I was lucky to win I had some bragging rights . If I ended up losing well than they had some bragging rights .
Nevertheless, We played each other in a series of games for fun. The main goal was to improve our chess skills. I have had these matches before many times. In a way, I have always done these Contender matches.
However, I never put them in an offical blog or talked about them in an article. I simply feel like doing that now. I figured the games will be amusing for people to see.
Almost like watching a Boxing match in a way . In this case it will be the chess equivalent verison. Which is why I'm introducing this new section into my articles.
These Contender matches will have a minimum of at least 2 games and can go until one side gets tired . No real ending number other than until we feel like stopping .
These matches will be unrated or rated depending on how both sides feel.
→ Side Note - I will add whether or not the game was unrated or rated on each individual game.
These matches will vary in time controls.
→ Side Note - I will add the time controls for each individual game.
I of course will be the HOME TEAM FAVORITE.
( Hopefully you agree ).
Why am I the Home Team Favorite?

*The Ranking scale I will be using will be very simple. All you have to do is just pick one of the below labels. Try to be as honest as possible.
Low - This ranking is if you feel your knowledge in that given area is below average
Moderate - This ranking is if you feel your knowledge in that given area is average
High - This ranking is if you feel your knowledge in that given area is above average
**The Chess Personally Quiz will help me figure out your chess style. All I would need you to do is take the 20 question quiz and tell me which Grand Master you matched up with. The Link to the quiz is below.
After you take the Quiz it will give you a picture of a Grand Master you matched up with. I will give you an example below.
After I took the quiz it matched me up with Anatoly Karpov. Bascially that is all I need from you. Just for you to tell me who you matched up with. I will get the rest of your chess style from the quiz itself.
If you look in the above picture you will see how it rates my chess style.
If you do take the quiz and tell me which Grand Master you matched up with you can skip the below Red Text Part.
**If you do not want to go and take the Quiz for what ever reason. I will than need you to rank yourself using the same simple scale I mentioned previously. I will need your ranking on the following answers.
- Your skill level in Attacking.
- Your skill level in Counter Attacking.
- Your skill level in Positional play.
- Your skill level in Aggressive play.
- Your skill level in Solid play.
- Your skill level in Intuitive.
- Your skill level in Calculating.
- How Emotional are you get during a game.
- How Calm are you during a game.
Low - This ranking is if you feel your knowledge in that given area is below average.
Moderate - This ranking is if you feel your knowledge in that given area is average.
High - This ranking is if you feel your knowledge in that given area is above average.
Yeah It might seem like a lot of requirements. However, They are not that bad. Most of them are easy and simple stuff. In the end the information you give will make the match look really cool. Plus the games we play will be fun. Again its not about winning or losing just having fun. At least there will be some very interesting games for sure. I have had alot of game matches before. I just never had a place to put all the games. I have added a couple in my forum pages. However, They usually just show 1 specific line. An during a series match there are alot of lines played. Which a lot of them get left out. I believe by doing a article about them series matches it will show all the games.
So if you feel like you can take me out HA HA bring it on .
I'm the Home Team Champion. I have silky smooth hair like the Zohan. I have wicked moves. You can't even see me on the chess board. I'm like a blur. I'm so fast. They call me white lighting.
All I have to say to my fellow competitors who want to face me is the following:
Laughing out Loud. Enjoy chess and life peeps. Don't forget to smile. Everyone likes to frown, Lets be happy! Have good day peeps and remember happy check mating.
