Hey Guys, I realized that it has been a long time since I posted a blog, so I decided to post one now. I know, I know, this tournament was played a long time ago, but I liked my games in this tournament, so i just wanted to use these tournament games. Enough talking, let's get to the games.
In this game, we played a French Defense: Advance Variation and quickly got a closed queenside. That meant Most of our play would be on the kingside. He sacrificed a pawn for an attack, but due to lack of time, I offered a draw, and he accepted.
We played a Nimzo- Indian in this game and I won a pawn around move 20. We fumbled around for a bit, but around move 40, he made a blunder thinking he would win the pawn back, and after he realized his mistake, he resigned.
This game was a Benoni in which I entered the endgame, and quickly gained a pawn. From there, it was fairly easy to win.
I think that I did good in this tournament, but could have done better, Especially in the first game. I got 3rd place (tied for 2nd), and my rating went up 20 points, so the and result was pretty good.
