Chess has a lot of popular openings. There is the king and queen's gambit, and if you want to try to do checkmate fast, you could try to do the scholar's mate. see this next game. (This is only for beginners, and this will most likely work for people who have just started or people below 310)

In this opening, white plays the king's pawn on E4 and black plays his king's pawn on E5. This develops the queen on both sides. In the next move, white moves his bishop on c4 and black plays his bishop on c5. Next, white plays his queen on h5. Black tries to defend, but accidentally bunders his knight on f6 instead of h6. This allows white to take the week pawn on f7 and checkmating the black king. This is an easy way to do the scholar's mate. But, if you are black and the opponent is trying to the scholar's mate on you, you need to know how to block it. Here's how.
Here, white does the same thing as last time, but black blocks it by putting its knight on h6 (finally), this makes that pawn no longer a week point, and if the queen takes the pawn, the knight can capture the queen, and since the king is not under attack and all the pieces are developed, black can now castle after white moves his queen away. Here is another way.
Here, white plays e4, black plays e5, white plays their bishop on c5, but before white can take their queen out in the next move, white plays f7, the makes the white queen unable to go on h5 because the black knight is guarding the square.
So, there was an easy way to do the scholar's mate, and we got to learn how to block this too. Follow to see more blogs
