Organized by International Chess Master Attila Turzo, the  Budapest Chess Holiday is an event that brings chess players from around the world together with the mission of improving their skills and exploring the beauties and culture of Hungary.

 The age-old game of chess has been played for centuries throughout the world. Come, learn about the the game in one of the most beautiful cities in Central Europe. The Budapest Chess Holiday will be an experience like no other. The week-long event will engage your mind and lift your spirit as your love for the game is renewed with every move you make on the board and every breathtaking sight that you take in.
 


Accommodations:

Accommodations have been made for all participants of the 3rd Budapest Chess Holiday. Hotel Ibis Heroes Square welcomes guests in the cultural heart of Budapest, next to the City Park and 10 minutes from the city center. The harmonious ambiance of the hotel is enhanced by its immediate proximity to the Museum of Fine Arts, the Hungarian Art Gallery, Szechenyi Spa, the Zoo, Heroes Square and the world renown National Opera House. "A group of 6 stayed in this hotel at the end of October 2014. The location was perfect for us. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were excellent. The Baths are just round the corner as are a few museums and the zoo. I would defiantly stay in this hotel again when I come back to Budapest in the near future, Excellent city. Would recommend to anyone."

 



 What To Expect:

Chess workshops and training games with analysis will take place from 9:30a.m.-1:00 p.m.daily. We will go together to the Sunshine Workshop Center, which is a ten minute walk from the hotel. Lunch will be held at the Sunshine Restaurant. You can visit it on page http://napfenyesetterem.hu/english This will give the participants a chance to catch up, get to know each other, and discuss what they have learned in the morning.
 
 
From 2:30 p.m. until dinner various events have been scheduled. This includes sightseeing around Budapest, attending concerts, hiking in the beautiful mountains and a trip to the thermal bath. There are even a few surprise events in store.
