World Champion Anand checkmated Alexander Morozevich in Moscow in 2007 in the Blitz World Championship:

White to move and checkmates in 1

Our 2nd example was played by World Champion Magnus Carlsen against "Fire on the Board" Alexei Shirov in 2008:
White to move and checkmates in 3

Today's student checkmate in a hard one. We found it with Patrick Regan when we analyzed one of his games:
Black to move and checkmates in 5
