Road to the Grandmaster title - Game 20 - Queenside attack in the London system

Yesterday I played with a young Vietnamese player Nguyen Van Thanh.

I got an interesting idea to play c3-c4 in the exchange variation of the London system.

I got an extra pawn on the queenside by moving c4-c5. He counter-attacked by e6-e5-e4.

I neutralized his attack and made a winning break on the queenside just before the time control, but I could not find the winning way and my time was going down quickly. In the end I missed an other winning chance and a draw and lost at the end:

The next opponent is the young Grandmaster Gergely Aczél from Hungary.
