My last opponent was Vuk Damjanovic, a 12 year old very strong talent from Serbia.

I played the London system and he replied with the Bg4 variation, an aggressive move.

I played c4 to counter-attack his center, but instead of defending with c6 he continued to attack with Bb4 check and c5 which gave him active counterplay.

I got the pair if bishops like in the Nimzo-indian or Ragozin defense, but black had activity.

His first big mistake was to take my bishop and allowing me to strengthen my pawn structure and leave him with an isolated d5 pawn.

The next and final positional mistake the a6 move way which made his b-pawn backward and a fixed target.

I think it was an instructive endgame about better pawn structure:

I am playing in the First Saturday Grandmaster tournament in Budapest, Hungary.
