I played this game in the First Saturday Grandmaster tournament in Budapest, Hungary.

Yesterday my opponent was the talented young Indonesian International Master Novendra Priasmoro.

I played the Torre-attack and my opponent played c5 like in the game in my last tournament:

Road to the Grandmaster title - Game 17 - my first Torre attack

I forgot what I played the last time and I played a less active idea Qc2, Be2 to develop. He played Nh5-f4 to install a good knight. After capturing the f4 knight and planting a knight on d4 my position looked good. Probably I could sacrifice my e-pawn for opening the position and use my d4 knight, but I did not look enough compensation.

He improved his knight and then I decided to open the queenside to generate counterplay.

The position was equal. Then I wanted to exchange the backward c3 pawn with c4, but I missed a double attack and the end of the variation and lost a pawn, plus he became more active.

He gave me the chance to exchange his strong a-pawn for my h-pawn, but probably that was also winning for him. Another calculation mistake lead to the loss of 1 more pawn and the game:
