Blitz Tactics 2016-11-17

In my Blitz games from the 16th to 17th November I had 3 wins and a loss, with some interesting tactical misses.

Game 1: White to Move

My opponent had just played Re8 which I answered with Qe2, and only then did I see that Nc7 would fork Queen and Rook. I played that on my next move.

Game 1: White to Move
I played Kf1 to extract myself from the pin, but missed the more liquidating Nd4 which attacks c6 whilst defending my Queen.

Game 1: White to Move
Whilst under pressure, I played the somewhat natural 1. gh where both my opponent and I failed to see 1. ... Qxh3+ 2. Ke1 Qh1+ 3. Kd2 Qh4+ and White has to play Ng5 to extract himself.
Instead the tough 1. g3 would have nullified this.

Game 2: Black to Move
Here I liquidated with Qd4 whilst the very strong Ra7 puts White to sleep

Game 3: Black to Move
Here I played the automatic 1. ... cd but failed to see the in between 1. ... Nd5 which would have captured the Queen with a check.

Game 4: Black to Move
My opponent played very well with 17. .. b5 securing c4 for his Rook after which I was outplayed.
I must research the Bb5 lines of the Sicilian
